The third photo; down is this the corner of Hallfield Road and Little Hallfield Road the railings on the right is this the D.V.L.R. railway?.
Did the rail track go over the road and was there a bridge?
There was a bridge over the railway on hallfield road
No the railway runs under the bridge a bit further up unfortunately you can’t see the bridge from the photo

Just looked at the lowery you mentioned I can see our front door and also the back gate to our yard thank you
Trying to relate these pictures to where my Granny and Grandad used to live. They were moved out by council compulsory purchase, guessing 1958/59/60.
York Auto Electrics was built on top of where their house was. I think it later became an Opel dealership.
Thinking back, I wonder who made money from these compulsory purchases of peoples properties. It was quite a common thing at the time.
I used live by HALLFIELD ROAD BRIDGE.
I used to live at 12 HALLFIELD ROAD top house
